Embracing the Nevada Spirit of Possibility
Abrazando el espíritu de la posibilidad
About Us
Nevada Teacher Corps places future teachers like you in elementary (K-5), early childhood (PK-2), and secondary math (7-12) classrooms in the Las Vegas Valley. You’ll start with a temporary license and work toward full certification.
In the one-year program, you teach while you learn. You’ll take teaching courses and attend monthly sessions that support your classroom practice. You’ll also get help from coaches, colleagues, and school staff.
Las Vegas is a diverse city with a vibrant culture. Over 60% of our public school students come from various racial and ethnic backgrounds, including Black, Hispanic, and Asian. The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is ranked as one of the most diverse universities in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report. Many of our Fellows come from outside Nevada, bringing valuable new perspectives to our classrooms.
Nevada Teacher Corps is building a dedicated team of teachers for schools in the Las Vegas Valley. Embracing the "Nevada spirit," we value hard work and a strong belief in every student's potential. Join us to bring bold, fresh ideas and make a real impact in our community.
Since 2016, Nevada Teacher Corps has trained over 200 teachers who have reached more than 5,000 students. Our Fellows join a team dedicated to creating better futures for Nevada students.

“When I first entered the Nevada Teacher Corps program, I had no idea the rigor and amount of professional development they offered. NTC changed how I interact with my administration, the curriculum, and especially my students. It taught me to set high expectations for students because they had high expectations of me.”
